Now, first something is different. The City of London is famous for many museums. The British Museum, a Victoria and Albert Museum. However, there are a number of smaller institutions that are not quite so famous, but they’re worth visiting. This is the case of the London Cinema Museum. 

The London cinema museum houses collections of all kinds of things related to the cinema of the past, including films, equipment. Many of the exhibits, they back to the earlier stage of the cinema in the 1890s. What’s more, the collection is housed in a beautiful building called the Mustard House, which is saved as a place of the cinema history. The building was once a home for poor people and the English actor, Charlies Chaplin spent some time there as a child, when his family has no money to feed him. 

The collection is well worth visiting, but in order to see it, you have to book a guided tour. The museum is open on most days of the year and you can book online or by phone. 

The price is £10 per adult in £17 for students with a student card. As well as the collections, the museum holds regular talks and presentations by some of the most important experts on films and cinema. Several nights a month, there is also a showing of a film from the museum collection. Tickets for these events are available in advance at £8.50 per adult £6.50 for students or first lines at the doors £10 for adults and £7 for students. 

Located in the district of Kennington, to the south of the river, the museum is easy to get to by public transport. The nearest stations are Kennington and Elephant in Castle. Many London buses stop nearby if you prefer traveling over lane.

There are three films for us to choose. The first decision that comes to my mind is frozen. This is a very famous film for every age. As I know it has very good songs during the movie and the characters are very beautiful. £3.50 is the reasonable price, in my opinion. Although my favorite kind of movie is comedy, anchorman 2 is too long and the price is so expensive for us to pay. Guardians of the galaxy is also a popular one, but i have already seen it before, and i think it's not worth to pay £4 for it. Let’s watch frozen together!

WHAT ARE YOU WATCHING?

It's dark outside, but eighteen-year-old Mike Owen doesn't notice the time passing. Today, he's only doing one thing: sitting in front of his computer screen, watching all thirteen episodes of a TV drama. 

Binge-viewing - watching several episodes of a TV series in one sitting - is getting more and more popular. And it isn't hard to see why. In the past, viewers had to wait nervously between episodes of their favourite TV series, because they were usually broadcast only once a week. Each episode finished with a moment of suspense called a 'cliffhanger', and fans were often left for seven whole days wondering what would happen next. But all of this has changed with the technology of streaming. For a monthly subscription, viewers can choose films or programmes from an online streaming service, which they can view on their TV, laptop, tablet or mobile phone. 

This system has a number of advantages. Firstly, users can watch what they want when they want. Secondly, they can pause the film or programme so they can get a snack or answer the phone without missing the action. Thirdly, and most importantly for some, their viewing is not constantly interrupted by advertisements. 

Mike is watching a series called House of Cards, a political thriller starring Kevin Spacey and Robin Wright. Instead of introducing one episode a week, all thirteen chapters were streamed online at the same time. The series was extremely popular and won a number of awards. TV executives should take note of the show's success because the future of their own channels may be in danger.

This is an extremely famous film for all ages. The message is very meaningful and the ending is very moving. We cried a lot. 

In addition to ticket, we also bought popcorn with coke. Oh, the cinema sold popcorn with a new flavor, which is strawberry. It was very yummy. We ate it during the film. The film finished late, so we hurried home.
