People didn't recycle much when my parents were my age. Until a big recycling centre opened in their town, people hadn't recycled things before. They used thrown away aluminium cans, bottles and wasn't plastic bags. There wasn't as much packaging and so it a big problem like it is today. The first time they went to the recycling centre, they took all the rubbish from home with them! They hadn't realised that not everything is recyclable! Nowadays it's much easier - there is a collection service which takes things from your house. But you still have to remember to put the bin out early. Yesterday I forgot and by the time I put it out, the truck had already left.

Mọi người không tái chế nhiều khi bố mẹ tôi bằng tuổi tôi. Cho đến khi một trung tâm tái chế lớn mở cửa ở thị trấn của họ, mọi người chưa từng tái chế đồ đạc trước đây. Họ sử dụng lon nhôm, chai lọ đã vứt đi và không dùng túi nhựa. Không có nhiều bao bì nên đó là một vấn đề lớn như ngày nay. Lần đầu tiên họ đến trung tâm tái chế, họ đã mang theo tất cả rác từ nhà! Họ không nhận ra rằng không phải mọi thứ đều có thể tái chế! Ngày nay, việc này dễ dàng hơn nhiều - có một dịch vụ thu gom lấy đồ từ nhà bạn. Nhưng bạn vẫn phải nhớ mang thùng rác ra ngoài sớm. Hôm qua tôi quên mất và khi tôi mang thùng rác ra ngoài thì xe tải đã rời đi.
