Read and decide T (true)/ F (false) for each statement.

Watching television is an interesting and fun activity. The word television is often shortened to TV. On TV you can watch many different programs about a wide range of things. Some examples of TV programs are news, cartoons, reality shows, sports, documentaries and soap operas.

There are several channels which show different TV programs. In Vietnam, the main channels are called “VTV1”, “VTV2”, and “VTV3”. TV guides tell us what programs are showing on which channel, and at what time on a particular day.

Most programs on TV are episodes that are part of a series. These episodes usually last for about 30 minutes or full hour. At the weekend, there are lots of interesting movies on TV. Now you don’t need to go to the cinema. You can watch films at home. It’s so comfortable.

You can learn a lot from watching TV but you should not watch too much or you will hurt your eyes.

Do you spend more time doing homework or playing video games? A lot of students think that they spend more time doing homework. But is this true? My class did a survey to check. There are a lot of books about animals for children. Can you think of any famous books? 

One very famous book about animals is 'Diary of a cricket' by Tô Hoài, a Vietnamese author. It is a favourite book of many young readers in Việt Nam and in other countries. 

The story is about the adventures of a cricket named De Mèn. He travels with his friends to explore the world. On their way, they meet many dangers, but they are brave to overcome all of them. At the beginning, Dế Mèn is an aggressive cricket. Through his travels, he learns to be kind and helpful. He often helps weak friends along the way. 

The story also takes us to the world of insects in beautiful nature - a river, a lawn, a forest or a white cloud in the blue sky. 

It is a good book for children. This book teaches children to behave nicely to others. It also makes them love nature and peace.

Playing online games is my hobby and I began playing games when I was eight years old. I play online with my friends at school. Now, we are playing a game called Pinecraft. In this game, we can grow trees and then use the wood from the trees to build houses and other things. It's very popular and a lot of fun to do. I spend about two hours a day playing online. I think it's a good way to relax. It's also another way to have fun and hang out with my friends. I can see them every day in the game. My parents say it's OK to play online as long as I do my homework first.
