Mrs. Samanthan: Uhm, we may experience culture shock and become disoriented. Humans naturally evaluate other cultures by comparing them to their own. However, passing judgment could reach a level where people start discriminating against others whose ways of being are different from their own.
Host: I see. Now, let's talk about cultural diversity.
Mrs. Samanthan: You know, cultural diversity is vital as there are various cultural, racial and ethnic groups in our country, workplaces and schools. In order to promote teamwork and cooperation, we must first have a certain understanding about each other. Only then can we learn from one another.
Host: Can cultural diversity make a country more fascinating?
Mrs. Samanthan: Yes, of course. The diversity makes a country become a more fascinating place to live because people from diverse cultures contribute language skills, unique perspectives, new knowledge, and different life experiences.
