We can use adverbial clauses of result to show the result of an action or situation.

We are polluting the ocean so badly that there won't be any fish left in ten years.

Subject + verb + such + noun/noun phrase + that + subject + verb (+ object)

People are causing such damage that the government is closing the park.

Grammar Clauses of result

(Ngữ pháp) (Mệnh đề kết quả)

Use clauses of result to show the result of an action or situation. Use such / so … (that); (and) as a result / therefore to introduce clauses of result.

(Sử dụng mệnh đề kết quả để thể hiện kết quả của một hành động hoặc tình huống. Dùng such/so… (that); (and) as a result / therefore để giới thiệu các mệnh đề chỉ kết quả.)
Follow these patterns:
(Thực hiện theo các mẫu này)

Such a / an + adjective + singular countable noun + 1 : is such a beautiful waterfall (that) it attracts many tourists.

(Such a / an + tính từ + danh từ đếm được số ít + : thác nước đẹp đến mức thu hút nhiều khách du lịch.)
Such + adjective + uncountable noun / plural noun + (that): It was such nice weather (that) we played outside.

(Such + tính từ + danh từ không đếm được / danh từ số nhiều + (that): It is beautiful fashion (that) we play out out.)
2 + adjective / adverb + that: The water was so cool (that) we all went swimming.

As a 3 / therefore + clause: We didn’t see the waterfall, therefore we’ll see it tomorrow.

Pongour Waterfall
