My hero is my friend Jade Pryce. She's thirteen years old and she's a student at my school. She's English but her mother is from Spain. Jade is short and she's got dark hair.

Life is very difficult for Jade. She's a good student but she's got big problems with her health and she's often not at school. But Jade is very brave and she's always very happy, friendly and funny. That's why she's my hero.

My hero is the sportsman Lionel ‘Leo’ Messi. He's about thirty and he's a footballer. Messi is from Argentina and he can speak Spanish and English. He's married and he's got three children. He's got dark hair and he isn't very tall.

Leo Messi is one of the world's top football players and he's got a lot of money. He is very rich. He is a very nice person. He's got a charity for children with problems. He's my favourite football player and my hero.

The Hemsworths

1 Chris and Liam Hemsworth are brothers. They're from Australia. Their grandfather is Dutch, from the Netherlands, and there is also English, Irish, Scottish and German in their family - it's very international! Chris and Liam are young, tall and handsome. They are also famous. They are very good actors.

2 In family photographs their hair is short, their eyes are blue and they aren't very different. But in the films that isn't true! They are completely different.

3 Liam is twenty-seven and he's Gale in the three Hunger Games films. He's Katniss's friend. He can fight and hunt and he can shoot arrows, like Katniss. In the film his hair is short and dark. He's very brave and strong. He's also an angry young man.

4 Chris is thirty-two and he is Thor, the superhero, in the Thor and Avengers films. He's big and strong. His hair is long and blonde. He can shoot lightning. Gale can't do that!

A true story

Twenty-two-year-old British student, Chris Hesford, went on a long holiday. He went to the USA and Australia.

One day in Byron Bay, Australia, he went on a boat and took his camera.

But the boat moved a lot and his camera went into the water. Chris was sad because his holiday photos were on it.

Six months later, an Australian man, Steve Carmody, found the camera ninety-seven kilometres away!

He looked at the photos. There were a lot of pictures of a tall young man with short, fair hair. He was often in front of a famous monument.

Steve put two of the pictures on Facebook and asked, 'Do you know this man?' More than 8,000 people shared the photos. One of Chris's friends saw them and he told Chris.

Chris is now at home in the UK and has now got all his amazing photos.

A Little Piece of History

ADA LOVELACE

1. Ada Lovelace (1815 1852) was a British mathematician. Her father, Lord Byron, died when she was eight, so her mother brought her up.

2. Girls did not go to school in those days, but Ada studied mathematics and science at home. She was very good at them. At the age of 12, she decided that she wanted to fly, so she wrote book called Flyology.

3. In 1833, she met Charles Babbage .He designed the Analytical Engine, the first computer. He asked Ada to write a paper explaining how to use it because she understood it better than anyone. She also wrote the first computer program!

4. Ada Lovelace was a brilliant mathematician. Sadly, she died from cancer when she was just 36 years old.
