Superlative (So sánh nhất)

- the + short adjective + est

(the + tính từ ngắn + est)

 It’s the latest sci-fi film.

(Đó là bộ phim khoa học viễn tưởng mới nhất.)

- the + most + long adjective

(the + nhất + tính từ dài)

 The most exciting part of the film was at the end.

(Phần thú vị nhất của bộ phim là ở phần cuối.)

Special adjectives:

(Những tính từ đặc biệt)

good - better - best

(tốt - tốt hơn - tốt nhất)

bad - worse - worst

(tệ - tệ hơn - tệ nhất)

If an adjective ends in -e, we add -r or -st:

(Nếu một tính từ kết thúc bằng -e, chúng ta thêm -r hoặc -st)

nice - nicer - nicest

(đẹp - đẹp hơn - đẹp nhất)

If an adjective ends in a vowel and a consonant, we double the consonant:

(Nếu một tính từ kết thúc bằng một nguyên âm và một phụ âm, chúng ta nhân đôi phụ âm)

big - bigger - biggest

If an adjective ends in a consonant and -y, we change -y to -i and add -er or -est:
