Ben Thanh market

Ben Thanh market is in the middle of Ho Chi Minh City. It's over one hundred years old, so it's very old. In 1912, there weren't any cars or motorcycles. It was easy to go to the market on foot or by bike.

Now, people usually go there by car or by motorcycle. You can also catch a bus there because there is a bus station. People don't usually go on foot because there is a lot of traffic on the streets. You can find lots of things inside the market like food, gifts, and clothes. People who live in Ho Chi Minh City and visitors love shopping there.

Bach Ma mountain is 1,444 meters high. But Fansipan is higher than Bach Ma. It's 3,147 meters high! It's in Lao Cai province.

There are no caves larger than Son Doong cave. It’s in Quang Binh province. It’s nearly 9 kilometers long, so it’s very dark inside.

No river in Viet Nam is longer than Dong Nai river. It is 586 kilometers long. Many people Live and work on this river.

Landmark 81 in Ho Chi Minh City is taller than Keangnam Tower in Ha Noi. This building is 461.2 meters tall. It has 81 floors and lots of restaurants.

The Hồ Chi Minh Mausoleum is a place to remember the national hero, President Hồ Chi Minh. It opens five days a week: Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, and weekends. In the hot season, usually from April to October, it opens at 7:30 a.m. and closes at 10:30 a.m., extending to 11:00 a.m. on Saturdays and Sundays. In the cold season, usually from September to March, it opens at 8:00 a.m. and closes at 11:00 a.m. We have to dress neatly and not bring any food, electronics, jewelleries, or metal objects inside the mausoleum.

Văn Miếu - Quốc Tử Giám or the Temple of Literature - Imperial Academy is the first university of Việt Nam. It is on Văn Miếu Street, in Đồng Đa, Hà Nội. The Temple of Literature - Imperial Academy has four main gates and five courtyards. There are some gift shops and a small museum in the temple. In front of the Temple of Literature, there is a lake called Văn Chương Lake.

At first, it was a school for princes and royal children, but later, many top students from all over the country studied there. We have to keep quiet and pay our respects when we visit the Temple of Literature.
