Listen to the sentences and decide which has rising intonation (⇗) and which has falling intonation (⇘). Practise saying them with a partner.

1. Do you think the voice should go up or down on the underlined words in each sentence? Draw a suitable arrow on each underlined word. Then practise reading out the sentences.
