Mai: So it has a happy ending! What do you think about the possibility of aliens attacking Earth?

Nick: I'm not sure about it. But I’m starting to think about it. I sometimes ask myself what we would do if aliens took over our planet.

If a planet is too small, its gravity is not strong enough to hold an enough amount of air. If it is too big, its gravity will be so strong that it will hold too much air.

Scientists are using space telescopes to find habitable planets. According to them, Mars is one of the most promising planets for life in our solar system. It is a planet like Earth. Its days last for 24.5 hours and its seasons are similar to Earth's. Although scientists have not found actual water on Mars, there seems to be traces of it on the planet's surface. However, the climate on Mars is unsuitable for human life because it is too cold and Mars lacks oxygen to support human life.

A New Home in the Future

Our planet, Earth, is becoming more and more crowded. The world's population will reach 11 billion by 2100*. I think we will need to find a new home in the future. The options are really exciting!

One option is to live on another planet, like Mars or Venus. It's important that the planet has similar gravity to Earth. We need gravity to stay healthy and on the ground! Venus's gravity is similar to Earth's, but Mars's is much lower. Temperature will also be a problem. Mars is very cold, and Venus is very hot. People will need to stay inside all the time. Mars and Venus also don't have enough oxygen for humans.

Another option is to live in space stations. We can build these near Earth, so people won't have to travel far. However, they're small. There won't be room for people to move around. Also, there's no gravity on a space station. Living there for a long time will affect people's health.

We don't know where our next home will be yet. There's no other place like Earth. Our new home will be strange, but very exciting!

The Night I Saw a UFO

I'll never forget the time I saw a UFO.

I was ten years old. I was in the park with my older brother. It was summertime, but the park was very quiet. We played soccer until it got dark.

We were getting ready to go home when we saw a strange light in the sky. It was moving quickly and making a loud noise. We ran home and hid under my brother's bed. We were really scared! The UFO hovered above our house for a few minutes, and then it flew away.

My brother thinks it was an airplane, not a UFO. I think he's wrong because airplanes can't hover like that! I really believe it was a flying saucer from another planet.

These days, more and more people are reporting strange experiences with aliens and UFOs. think it's really exciting. Last month, a woman was doing the laundry when she saw a huge object in the sky above her house. She is sure it was a flying saucer. Yesterday, a teenage boy was studying at the library when he saw a tall man with green skin and blue hair. He was laughing. The boy was very scared.

If aliens are real, why do they come to our planet? Some people say that aliens like the temperature or gravity here, but I don't agree. I think they want to meet people. I think that in the future, more and more aliens will come to our planet. hope that we will be able to ride in their flying saucers, too!

Hello, readers! This week, I talked to astronaut Julie Gillis and asked her all about life in space.

Astronauts travel to space in a rocket and they live on a space station. Life on a space station is difficult but interesting. Julie said that astronauts spent most of their time doing science experiments and other important work.

Life is difficult in space with zero gravity. Julie told me she had to sleep in a sleeping bag and she tied it to the wall, so she didn't float away.

Life in space is hard, but it is an interesting experience. Julie said that floating around the space station was amazing. She also told me she enjoyed looking out the windows at the Moon, the beautiful stars and the planets. It was her favourite way to entertain on the space station. The first man on the Moon was Neil Armstrong. He flew on the Apollo 11 mission to the Moon in July 1969. The rocket had three astronauts: Neil Armstrong, Edwin Aldrin, and Micheal Collins.

Four days after leaving Earth, Armstrong and Aldrin landed on the Moon in the Lunar Module. As they did this, Collin stayed in the spaceship where he orbited the Moon, did science experiments, and took pictures.

The Moon is made of rock and dust. It is light gray, and its surface has holes called craters. The Moon doesn’t have life on it. It orbits the Earth and takes 27 days to do this. The Moon is smaller than the Earth.

Armstrong was the first man to walk to the Moon. He and Aldrin walked on the Moon for three hours, gathered rocks to take back to Earth. The astronauts left a sign on the Moon. It said they came in peace for all humans from all countries on Earth. They also put the US flag on the Moon.

On 24 July 1969, all three astronauts returned safely to Earth.

An unidentified flying object (UFO) is any light or object seen in the sky that can't be explained. Hundreds of UFO sightings are reported every year. WHERE WILL WE GO FIRST?

Earth’s population is growing more quickly every year. I think that someday in the future, we will need to leave Earth and travel to new planets. I think that the best options are two planets near us in space, Mars and Venus. But which one will we travel to first?

Mars is often called “the Red Planet” because of its color. It is further from the sun than Earth, so it’s very cold. It is much smaller than Earth, so the gravity there is very low and there isn’t much oxygen, too. It will cause health problem for humans living there for a long time.

Venus is often called Earth’s “sister planet”. The two planets are almost the same size, so the gravity is very similar to Earth’s. However, Venus’s temperature is very hot, and the air is dangerous.

In my opinion, both planets are dangerous. However, travelling to Venus is more dangerous and difficult. I think that we will visit Mars first. I hope that we will learn more about other planets later, too.

A MEETING WITH AN ALIEN

I will never forget the day I met an alien.

I was ten years old. I was with my friend Jonathan. We were climbing trees in the forest near my home.

I was sitting near the top of a tree when I saw a large, green face next to me. It had huge, black eyes, and a tiny mouth. It was looking at me and making strange noises. I think it was trying to tell me something, but I couldn’t move my body. The alien spoke for about a minute. Then, I saw a strange light and closed my eyes. When I opened them, the alien wasn’t there anymore.

Jonathan didn’t see it. When I described it, Jonathan thought it was just a frog. I don’t think it was just a frog. I don’t think it was a frog because it was too big. I’m sure it was an alien from another planet.
